Queen Elizabeth Country Park Meet

THE SUN WAS SHINING ON THE BOSTON MEET UP.

What a great day we had at the last Boston meet up situated at Queen Elizabeth Country Park on 24th March. We arrived with fingers crossed that we would get a decent turn out as this is a great opportunity to see new people and their 4 legged friends. It turned out no crossed fingers were needed, 20 dogs in total and 17 of them were our beloved Boston’s. To me the day was worth all the effort just for that.

It was great to see Jo and Ian King as we hadn’t seen them for some time, and fantastic that Maureen and Peter Hounslow showed their support for the club as usual. There was Sally and Nick from Pagham with their 2 Boston’s, we had Emma and her daughter with a lovely little Dandy Dinmont who attended so they could learn a little more about the breed before Emma decides to get a Boston.

The walk was around 45 minutes to an hour and the sun was shining on us all. All the dogs behaved themselves impeccably, the walk was nice and relaxed with not too many inclines so easy enough for all of us. We stopped half way round so Fiona could take a nice photo of those that were there, dogs happy and owners smiling what could be better. The walk was completed with drinks and eats from the little food kiosk and everyone chatting. It was a great end to a fantastic day. Well done to Karen and Rob for helping with the organisation.

The funniest part of the day for me was watching Brian running down the track after a rogue Boston, absolute quality. Hope to see you all at the next organised meet up.
